Chamarajanagar, Dec 3: Noble work is priceless. A person here has made a name for himself with his occupation. While other tailors charge between Rs 300 to Rs 400 to stitch a pair of clothes, the tailor who has become a public hero, charges only Rs 100 to stitch a pair of school uniform.
Esabullah Khan, from Chandakawadi near here, works as a tailor for the last twelve years. He desires that all school children should wear uniforms. Even though the government provides cloths for school uniforms, spending hundreds of rupees to get the clothes stitched has become a burden for poor families. Esabullah Khan who realized the difficulties of the poor came forward to stitch clothes at lesser rates. He has been stitching uniforms only at the rate of Rs 100 for the last five years.
He stitches shirts and pants for boys, and also uniforms for girls as per the school requirement. He visits every government school personally and gets measurements of clothes from children. He has stitched more than 30.000 clothes for children for the last five years. He is stitching 5,000 to 6.000clothes every year.
While others charge above Rs 300, Esabullah Khan stitching clothes for Rs 100 shows his service motive. He stitches ten uniforms free of cost for the poorest children when the number of students crosses 100 in a school. He has also provided tailoring jobs for ten women at his shop.
