Karkala, Nov 30: “Karate is an art of self-defence. It is helpful for strengthening mind and body. Those who become expert in Karate become courageous. Karate is extremely beneficial for our protection,” said Belman JCI president Satyanarayana Bhat.

He was speaking as chief guest in Karate training and demonstration held in Nandalike Board School by Gurudurga Mitra Mandali in the cooperation of Belman JCI, Junior Jaycee division and school alumni association.

International Karate expert and teacher Sathish Belman was felicitated by Mitra mandali.

Gurudurga Mitra mandali president Rajesh Kumar chaired the programme. School alumni association president Subhash Kumar, journalist Hariprsad Nandalike, junior Jaycee president Sandeep, International Karate expert Keshava Kadandale, Mitra mandali secretary Deekshit Devadiga, teacher Sadananda Shetty, Mitra mandali members Sathish K, Rakesh Kulal and others were present.
