Bengaluru, Nov 30: City crime branch additional police commissioner, Sandeep Patil, has said that the city crime branch (CCB) has shared the information it gathered during investigation into the reported match fixing scandal in Karnataka Premier League tournament with the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI). He said that several players have been summoned to appear for questioning, adding that International Cricket Council and BCCI have sought detailed information.
Patil expressed the suspicion about the possibility of some international bookies having taken part in the scandal.
Recently the police had served notice on pacer Abhimanyu Mithun seeking his presence for questioning. Now it has also sent notice to Vinay Kumar, who has represented the national team earlier.
The city crime branch had earlier said that it also has suspicion about a similar scandal involving IPL matches.
