Byndoor, Nov 30: A marriage was scheduled to be performed at Yadthare near here on Friday November 29. However, the marriage did not happen as the groom chose to remain absent at the last minute.
Praveen Kumar, son of Ramachandra Sheregar from Balkur Nadumane, strangely decided against participating in the marriage function organized for him.
Praveen's marriage was supposed to take place near Byndoor on Friday. Praveen has been working for a private concern at Bengaluru since the last ten years. He had informed his family that he would be reaching home on November 26 for the marriage. But he did not come home. When the family members tried to contact him, they found that his mobile phone was switched off. On the basis of a complaint made by his father, a missing case was registered in Kundapur rural police station.

The police who tried to locate him got information that he was at Bengaluru. There are rumours about him having married a girl at Bengaluru already. The police said that this information has not been verified.
The girl's family said that they feel cheated with the cancellation of wedding at the last minute. They demanded refund of expenses they have incurred in fixing marriage hall, catering, and other arrangements, from the groom's side. They have said that they would file complaint if this money is not paid to them.
