Muscat, Aug 27: The Annual Drawing Competition for the year 2009 – 2010 organized and presented by the Mangalorean Catholic Centre of the Parish, (MCCP – Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church – Ruwi) for their members’ children and for the first time lady members, was held on Friday, 21st August 2009 at the main parish hall of Sts Peter and Paul Church - Ruwi.
The competition commenced with a welcome speech by anchor of the Day, Jessie Pereira, current General Secretary of MCCP. Suraj Rebello, vibrant and ebullient leader of MCCP welcomed the participants and expressed his joy of having large number of participants. Mariete Fernandes, MCCP’s spiritual secretary offered prayers seeking heavenly blessings on the participants and competition in particular. Monica Dantis, Vice President – Cultural, Spiritual and Community Services presented the rules and topics for the various groups. Before concluding the formal ceremony, Cyprian Misquith proposed vote of thanks.
As officially announced, the drawing competition for standards IX to XII students of the community will be held on 16th September in the upper parish hall of Ruwi Church.
