Bangalore, Aug 24: Former Chief Minister of the state, H D Kumaraswamy, warned that he would undertake 'fast unto death' agitation, if the BJP government of the state overlooks the development of Ramanagar district.
Speaking after taking part in the celebrations organized on the occasion of the completion of two years since the formation of Ramanagar district, he noted that the Chief Minister had made several promises to the citizens of the district, in his electioneering speeches during the recent by-election. He asked the Chief Minister to keep up the promises he made and take up development projects. "If the Chief Minister fails to take concrete steps towards implementation of the promises he made, an agitation would be launched for the same," he warned. Kumaraswamy asked the BJP not to neglect the development of the district and to complete all the development projects he himself had undertaken, for the benefit of the district, when he was the Chief Minister.
The JDS activists along with other citizens of the district, celebrated the completion of the second year of the district's formation, by distributing sweets.
