Bengaluru, Nov 3: Voice of neglecting south Indian artistes by prime minister Narendra Modi is being heard often. As an evidence of this the post, which renowned playback singer Dr S P Balasubrahmanyam, has made on social media has taken everyone by surprise. In his post the singer has vented his anger against prime minister Narendra Modi.
Recently prime minister Modi has arranged an interactive session with the Bollywood and other stars on account of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Many known start of Bollywood including Shahrukh Khan, Ameer Khan, Rajkumar Hirani, Ranbir Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor and Alia Bhat had posted their selfies with the PM taken during the programme.
Dr S P Balasubrahmanyam also took part in the said programme but did not feature in any of the selfies or photos. Now the famous singer has revealed the real reason behind him not appearing in any of the photographs. As Dr S P Balasubrahmanyam entered the venue of the programme, the security personnel of PM Modi had taken his mobile and said that mobiles cannot be taken inside. However, when Dr SP went inside, he was shocked to see that Bollywood stars are clicking selfies on their mobiles with the PM. Dr SP was thoroughly frustrated with this and has shared his humiliation on social media.
In his post S P Balasubrahmanyam says, "I am grateful to Ramoji Raoji, (Eenadu), because of whom I was able to attend a reception hosted by our Hon. Prime Minister at his home on 29th of Oct. Upon entering the premises, we were asked to leave our cellphones with the security personnel and were given tokens for the same. But I was bewildered at the STARS taking selfies with the PM on that day. THINGS THAT MAKE GO HMMM?????"
Many south Indian film stars had vented their anger about the discrimination meted out to them at the function hosted by PM Modi. They had complained that the south Indian film world is not getting the same support as Bollywood from the union government. Several people including Upasana, wife of Ramcharan and actor Jaggesh had raised their voice in this regard.
