Mangaluru, Nov 2: The diamond jubilee celebrations of Society of St Vincent De Paul (SSVP), Mangaluru Central Council will be held on November 3 at St Sebastian Jubilee Hall, Bendore, here.
The vision of SSVP is to be a global Catholic Charity Organisation providing aid, development and hope to the poor and the marginalized. It was established in Paris, France in 1833. Its Mangalore Central Council was established in 1959.
The diamond jubilee celebrations will be presided over by Rt Bishop of Mangaluru diocese, Dr Peter Paul Saldanha and the chief guest will be Bro Johnson Varghese, president, National Council of India, SSVP.
Guests of honour will be Bro Francis Victor, vice-president, National Council of India, SSVP; Bro Amancio Fernandes, Western Region co-ordinator, SSVP and Fr Vincent Monteiro, parish priest, Bendore Church, Mangaluru.
