Udupi, Nov 2: District in-charge minister Basavraj Bommai inaugurated his office at DC office, Manipal here on Friday, November 1.

Bommai received petitions from different associations.

The petitions on private policy, issuing license for Dalit community for non-CRZ, organising awareness campaign of Ayushman Bharath, making zero tolerance on drug consumption in the city and other issues, were received by the minister.

Fishermen association members submitted a memorandum to the minister which it was said that Karnataka fishermen were assaulted and threatened by Maharashtra fishermen. The fishermen pressurized the home minister to take action against them.

Raghupati Bhat, MLA Udupi, Sunil Kumar, MLA Karkala, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, district BJP president, Dinkarbabu, president, zilla panchayat, G Jagadeesh, district commissioner, Nisha James, district superintendent of police, Preethi Gehlot, CEO of Udupi zilla panchayat, Kuyilady Suresh Nayak and party workers were present.
