Mangaluru: Workshop on ‘Cyber Safe Campus’ held at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management

Mangaluru, Oct 29: Center of Excellence Cyber Security and Institute's Innovation Council - Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, here in association with ACM-Sahyadri on October 26 organized a workshop on Cyber Safe Campus for the first-year engineering students.

The workshop was presided over by Dr Ananth Prabhu G, professor, department of Computer Science & Engineering, Sahyadri College. He is a guest faculty of Cyber Security at Karnataka Judicial Academy and Police Academy. Shreelatha, Academic Administrative Officer (AAO) and Dr AnushBekal, vice-president IIC-Sahyadri, graced the event.



Dr Prabhu is a very dynamic personality as well as a motivational speaker. In his talk, he gave an insight into some very common mistakes everyone does on the internet, the problems caused by attackers while accessing the internet and how the Trojan Virus is injected through the pictures. He also suggested ways on how to be free from cyber-attacks. He also spoke about some of the tools of artificial intelligence which are being misused by the attackers to cheat people. The students found the talk very inspiring and interesting. On the whole, the workshop was well received and the students gained great insights.
