Mangaluru, Oct 19: Police has filed chargesheet in the court against 15 people including main accused Sam Peter for allegedly hatching a plot to extort money posing as sleuths of National Crime Investigation Bureau (NCIB).
The names of the accused mentioned in the chargesheet are T Sam Peter (53), a native of Koyilad Kavanada in Kerala and presently residing at Manipal of Udupi district, T K Bopanna (33), a native of Madikeri Siddapura Arekala, presently residing at Nehru Nagar, Yalahanka, Bengaluru, Madan (41), a resident of Bengaluru south, North Street, Neelasandra, Chinnappa (38), a resident of Virajpet Kakootapuram Nalkeri, Sunilraju (35), a resident of Kanakapura Pillikama, Bengaluru, Kodandarama (39), a resident of Gowdanapalya, Bengaluru, Moideen alias Cherian (70), a resident of Kulur in Mangaluru and S A K Abdul Latif (59), a resident of Falnir in Mangaluru city. In total 12 people have been arrested and three are absconding.

The police investigated the case based on the information that the gang was hatching plan to kill some people and kidnap others to extort money from them. Accordingly, the chargesheet has been filed by the police.
