Mangaluru, Oct 17: Nanotechnology is a very advanced interdisciplinary and hot research topic in Science and Technology. Most of the research work in different countries of the world is taking place at the nano level only.
In this connection, Srinivas University is organizing two days International Conference on Nanotechnology in Srinivas Hotel on October 18 and 19. This programme will be inaugurated by Dr K Byrappa, former vice-chancellor of Mangalore University and pro-vice-chancellor of Adichuncnagiri University. Dr V P N Nampoori, emeritus professor and former director, International School of Photonics, Cochin University of Science & Technology, Cochin, will be the chief guest and Prasad Rao, assistant patent officer, Chennai, will be the guest of honour.
Dr Kalappa Prashanta from France will give the keynote address. More than 100 research papers and research works from scientists, research scholars and professors will be presented during the programme. Around 250 researchers from all over the world will be participating in this event. Delegates Dr Byrappa, Dr Namoopri, Dr Prashantha, Dr Kiran Manjappa from Taiwan, Dr Phani from Nanotechnology based industry, Dr Manoj Krishna from BASF, and Experts from KSCST, Visvesvaraya Trade centre, CIPAM – government of India will also present their papers.
Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology, Karnataka government, Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre, government of Karnataka, department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, government of India are the Knowledge Partners for this event.
Inaugural session of the conference will be held on October 18 at 10 am and the programme will be presided by Sri CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University along with pro-chancellor Dr A Srinivas Rao, vice-chancellor Dr P S Aithal, Dr Anil Kumar, registrar, and Dr Praveen B M, director and convenor of the conference. In this programme, University will offer the Young Scientist Award and Best ScientistAward to the best research papers presented at the conference.
