Udupi, Oct 16: Rayan Mathias, student counsellor at Manipal Academy of Higher Education MAHE, Manipal has been awarded a PhD by the Bharathiar University Coimbatore for his thesis titled "A Study on Role Of Social Network and its implication on Health and Social Needs among elderly in Udupi District'.
The research scholar was successfully guided by a retired professor, Dr Rameela Shekar, School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru.
