Udupi: Car tries to avert hitting bicycle, results in serial accident

Udupi, Oct 11: A serial accidents that involved three cars took place on the Thekkatte national highway 66 near here. Luckily, no injuries are reported.

This incident occurred when an elderly person, riding a bicycle, came across an Alto car suddenly. The driver of the Alto car applied the brakes all of a sudden to save the cyclist from being knocked down.

The other cars which were tailing the Alto collided with one another due to the sudden stopping of the Alto Car.

Mahindra TUV, which was following the Alto closely a Toyota Etios car that was behind it and a Scorpio which was following the Etios piled on one another. The vehicles involved in the accident are heavily damaged. The passengers of the car received minor injuries.

Movement of traffic got affected due to this accident for some time on the national highway. Kota police personnel arrived on the spot and cleared the traffic after sometime.
