Bengaluru, Sep 27: Kalaburagi bench of the state high court, which was hearing a case allegedly connected to the 'Operation Lotus' relating to luring other party legislators into the BJP by the then chief minister of Karnataka, B S Yediyurappa, has adjourned the hearing to October 25.
The audio CD which was reportedly created by Sharanagouda is said to contain recording of the conversation held by Yediyurappa with Sharanagouda, son of Gurmitkal JD(S) MLA, Naganagouda Kandkur. Sharanagouda thereafter had filed complaint against Yediyurappa, Devadurg MLA, Shivanagouda Nayak, Preetham Gowda and journalist, Maramakal, all of whom were said to be parties to the effort to convince the MLA to change his loyalty.
The state high court had stayed the hearing of this case. Sharanagouda had approached the high court seeking to vacate the stay. This application was to be moved before a bench headed by Justice K S Mudagal. As the judge was on leave, the hearing was adjourned, it is gathered.
