Mangalore: Sahyadri Institute of Technology Starts Civil Engineering, MCA Courses

Mangalore, Jul 19: All India Council for Technical Education has given permission to Sahyadri Institute of Technology to start Civil Engineering and Master of Computer Application course from the current academic year limiting student strength to 60.
The student strength for Mechanical Engineering and Electronic and Communications has been increased from the current 60 to 90 from this year. The students will be made available increased number of seats through CET, COMed-K and Management quota. At present, the institute offers Mechanical, Electronics and Communications, Computer Science, Information Science in engineering stream and Master of Business Administration course.
With the inclusion of two new courses the student strength will reach 1,020. The institute boasts of good teaching staff with technical knowledge, good library, seminar hall, internet facility, hostels from girls and boys as well vehicle facilities, informed institute principal Dr D L Prabhakar.
