Bantwal, Sep 25: A person from the taluk has been writing to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, since the last some years, urging him to remove article 370 of the constitution. Now, after the article has been removed, the person has received appreciation letter from the office of the Prime Minister.
Lakshminarayan from Jakribettu in Bantwal had written to the office of the Prime Minister repeatedly seeking to remove the said article. Now, a letter sent to him in the name of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, dated August 21, has been received by Lakshminarayan, in which he has been appreciated for the concern shown by him.
The letter provides an explanation about the removal of the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir. The letter was presented to Lakshminarayan by minister, Kota Srinivas Poojary, at the National Unity Campaign programme held on Tuesday September 24 at B C Road. The minister also honoured Laskhminarayan on this occasion.
MLA, Rajesh Naik Ulipadyguthu, BJP leaders, B Devadas Shetty, Satish Kumpala, Pooja Pai, ex-serviceman, Ramayya Shetty Sampila etc were present.
