Mangalore, Jul 18: On Friday, the rains receded by a great extent, enabling people to go out and attend to their pending work. At the same time, a teenager named Ganesh (16), son of Gangadhar Nair from Ambadimoole in Jalsoor village near Sullia, died after being caught unawares by an unexpectedly severe draught in Adkar rivulet.
