Kundapur, Sep 25: Neelamani N Raju, Director General and Inspector General (DG&IG) of police, Karnataka, along with her family visited the Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple and partook in the Chandika Homa on Tuesday, September 25.
Administrative trustee of the temple, Harish Kumar Shetty, executive officer Krishnamurthy, members of the temple committee Ramesh Ganiga Kollur, Narasimha Halageri, PRO of temple Jayakumar, SP of Udupi district Nisha James and ASP Hariramashankar were present when state police chief and her family offered Homa to the Goddess.
Later in the afternoon, Neelamani Raju visited the city of Mangaluru and conducted a high level meeting with the police officers of the city.
The meeting took place at the camp office of the IGP Western Range, situated at Mary Hill in the city. Neelamani Raju got all the details with regards to the activities of the police department, facilities offered to the police personnel and recruitment of personnel.
Neelamani Raju appreciated the new beat system of 'My Beat My Pride' that is implemented in the city by the city police commissioner Dr P S Harsha. In addition, she also lauded the offer of employment for reformed rowdy sheeters.
IGP Arun Chakravarthy, city police commissioner Dr P S Harsha, SP Laxmi Prasad, Mangaluru city deputy police commissioner Arunamshugiri and Laxmi Ganesh were present.
