True, this is a common thing, I know such a instance in Kavoor, a real estate guy took crores of rupees from a Bank he kept no surety of the money he was borrowing instead the bank Manager asked for a flat for himself ... From then onwards this Bank manager takes commission from loanee as if the Bank money is his property.. he selects employees to that Bank who he likes, directors are his people, they are uneducated people so they have no clue what so ever, he gives them biryani once a month and they are happy with it...
If a poor person goes for a loan amount of 20,000 , he rejects.. there is a loanee, he is a young boy who got a job after difficulty but it required personal bike, hence he wanted a second hand bike, he was denied loan since the manager would not get commission...

was this the first ever case of someone from this Govt Dept. (indeed , ant Govt. dept.) demanding and accepting a bribe? Until there is exemplary penalty - eg. seizure of all property and assets by the state, such incidences will not stop. Govt has no stomach for such exemplary action, instead wastes time with useless exercises like NRC.
