Mangaluru: On duty traffic policeman hit by scooter, injured

Mangaluru, Sep 23: A traffic police constable, who was dispersing his duties near the KSRTC bus stand junction in city on September 20, was injured when a scooter hit him. 

Vasu Naik, traffic police head constable, is the person who was injured. 

Vasu Naik was trying to approach a car in order to move the same to clear the traffic congestion. At the time a scooter rider who was riding at high speed hit the head constable. 

The head constable who has been injured in the accident was admitted to a private hospital in city. The rider escaped from the spot. 

A case stands registered at city west traffic station.

    So sad & bad thing to happen.
    These traffic police are facing lot's of risks, accidental, air pollution, noise pollution and the worse weather conditions in the open. It's a tough job and they should be rewarded with special benefits for the type of job they handle in the interest of public. God bless/have mercy on these personnel.
