Moodbidri, Sep 13: A three-day student employability programme on 'Innovations and Incubations: Ideation to Realization (IIIR-2019)' was conducted at Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE), here from September 6 to 8.
The workshop was sponsored by TEQIP 1.3, Govt of India and organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication.
The main objective was to provide awareness and build entrepreneurial expertise through 'Innovations and Incubation: From Ideation to Realization' to pursue dreams and to gain economic, technical and entrepreneurial expertise in the chosen field.
On the first day, entrepreneurs discussed innovative ideas, its nurturing, prototyping and product.
The second day was all about insight into practical applications of IP such as patent drafting, patentability search, freedom to operate search, validity/invalidity search.
On the last day, participants were given information about financial assistance by State and Central Government and private agencies. Idea presentation, project exhibition, and poster presentation by the participants were the main highlights of the workshop. More than 50 students from 13 different colleges participated in the workshop.
Dr M S Nagananda from department of ECE coordinated the programme successfully.
