Mangaluru, Sep 11: Science quiz was organised for classes IX and X as a part of subject enrichment activity at Lourdes Central School.

The preliminary test for the science quiz was conducted on August 30 to select the participants. The science quiz finals for classes IX and X was held on September 9 in the rooftop auditorium. It commenced with a prayer song. The Principal of the school, Fr Robert D’souza spoke on the occasion and encouraged the participants to give their best. Vice-principal Belita Mascarenhas guided the audience to be good listeners.

There were four teams with two participants each. The rest of the students were the audience for the quiz. Shamitha, the quiz master instructed the students to be alert and quick in answering the questions. The quiz consisted of six rounds and each round went on smoothly with the co-operation of participating teams and the audience.

“Where there is unity there is always victory,” said Publilius Syrus. The names of the winners were announced and they were congratulated for their preparation.
