Mangaluru: 'Save a life initiative' blood donation camp held at Besant PG College

Mangaluru, Sep 4: Under the district project, 'Save a life initiative' a blood donation camp was organised on September 4 at Besant PG College here.

Rtn Vinod D’Souza organised the camp in association with Rotary Club Mangaluru, Rotaract Club of Besant PG College and Mangaluru unit of Indian Red Cross.

RCM president, Rtn Jathin Atavar, Community Service director, Rtn Aditya Pai, Rotaract chairman, Rtn Vinod D’Souza, District Projects chairman, Rtn R K Bhat, college correspondent, Devanand Pai, principal, Dr Satish Kumar Shetty, Praveen from Red Cross, Rotaract president, Rtr Kavyashree and others were present.



A brief innaugral programme was held followed by blood donation. Even though around 80 volunteers offered to donate blood only 35 units could be collected due to medical technical reasons.
