Bengaluru, Sep 1: KPCC women's wing held a protest in front of the BJP office in the city urging to drop Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) Laxman Savadi, who was accused of watching porn inside the legislative assembly when the session was in progress, from the position of DCM.

This protest was held under the leadership of Pushpa Amarnath, president of the women's unit of KPCC. The protesters said, "The state government has insulted women folk of the state by offering DCM post to Laxman Savadi. In addition, it is an insult to the women leaders of BJP also. They are silently bearing the insult but we are raising our voice."

At the same time, the protesters denied the report that former Siddaramaiah has spoken in a derogatory language about women and said, "It is common to use such dialect in the Mysuru region of the state. It is pure Kannada. Siddaramaiah has lots of regards and respect for the Kannada language."
