Udupi, Aug 29: "There is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women"
St Cecily’s P U College, Udupi, hosted a programme Nari Shakthi to celebrate the glory of women empowerment. The event was held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at 3.00 pm in the college auditorium. Dr Manjari Chandra, renowned classical dancer, mentor, and yoga therapist, founder of Srishti Foundation, Udupi, was the chief guest. Being an epitome of dignity and grace, Dr Manjari highlighted the significance of empowering women and urged them to build their self-confidence and carve a niche for themselves in society.
The students presented a host of performances showcasing the strengths and accomplishments of women. A sublime dance drama, thematic dances, a powerpoint presentation, illuminated the essence of the occasion. A tribute was presented by the students to the women achievers in different avenues.
The chief guest was accompanied on the stage by Sr Rachana, the principal, Shalet, and coordinator of the programme and Renita, who introduced Dr Manjari to the audience.
Archana proposed the vote of thanks and Chirashree compered the programme.
