Panaji: Fishing Ban Season Enforced in the State

Panaji, Jun 15: The Fishing ban season in the state of Goa has been enforced from the Monday ie 15th June.



According to the Goa state Fisheries department there are around 2,500 fishing trawlers in the state, out of which only 850 are operational.

The fishing ban period will end on the 31st of July. Most of the fishing trawlers during the off season will be anchored at the two prime fishing jetties in the state namely the Malim jetty in the North and Cutbon jetty in the South.
