Dharwad, Jun 9: The Dharwad circuit bench of the state High Court, which had taken the government to task at the hearing on May 27 on the issue of the transfer of Gokarn temple management to Ramachandrapur Mutt, had instructed the prosecution to file charge sheets against four erring government officials. The hearing of this case is to come up for hearing in the court on Tuesday June 9.
Justice Shylendra Kumar and Justice Keshav Narayan, members of the divisional bench of the High Court, had expressed unhappiness about the functioning of the four officials who they said, had failed to maintain status quo on the issue as ordered by the High Court earlier. They are revenue department secretary G S Narayana Swamy, endowments commissioner P Prabhakaran, revenue department bench officer H S Srikantababu and Kumta divisional commissioner V S Chougula.
