Mangalore, Jun 5: A chapter of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) will be inaugurated in the city, with the installation ceremony slated to be held on Friday, June 5.
K C Naik, founder secretary of the CREDAI- Mangalore chapter, briefing about the installation ceremony of the Association, explained that it is the apex body of the real estate developers in the country. It has 3,500 members spread over 20 states and various cities of India.
The Karnataka Ownership Apartments Promoters Association, which was started in 1982, has now got affiliated to this body and has been rechristened as CREDAI- Karnataka, he said, adding that the Association has been working for safeguarding the interests of the builders and there are 135 members in the state chapter.
CREDAI has a self-regulatory code of conduct, with the code of conduct forming its strong foundation. The state chapter is in constant touch with the state government organizations as it is a member for the advisory committees, said Sanath Kumar Shetty, founder president.
The installation ceremony of the president of the local chapter for the period 2009-2011 and his team is scheduled to be held at Hotel Taj Gateway on June 5, at 7.30 pm, he informed.
Abdul Razack from Canara builders and Sanjith Naik from Mahabaleswara builders were also present.
