Goa to Host Marathi Film Festival from May 5

Panaji, Jun 3:
Veteran actor Nana Patekar will inaugurate three-day-long Goa marathi film festival planned in state’s two cities between June 5 to June 7, 2009.
 
“In all 11 films would be screened during the festival at three screening centres in Margao and Panaji,” Goa Chief minister Digamber Kamat, who is also chairing the festival, told reporters here.
 


A local production house, Vinson Graphics, is organizing this festival for the second consecutive year.
 
“The festival will be inaugurated at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao and subsequent screenings will happen in Margao and Panaji towns,” Kamat said.
 
The festival will showcase the films like Dhyasparva (Amol Palekar), Gabhricha Paus (Satish Manwar), Gandha (Sachin Kundalkar), Harichandrachi Factory (Paresh Mokashi), Shevari (Gajendra Ahire), Jogawa (Sanjay Patil), Sinhasana (Jabbar Patel), Gosht Chotishi Dongarayevadhi (Nagesh Bhosle), Marmabandha (Dinesh Bhosale), Sawariya.com (Rajendra Talak) and Mareparyant Fashi (Chandrakant Barve).
 
The organizers stated that various seminars would also be held along with the festival.
