Panaji, May 26: Crime Branch sleuths have busted a prostitution racket after raiding a massage parlour and arresting two persons in North Goa's tourist belt, a senior police official said on Tuesday.
The raid was carried out on Monday night. "The prostitution racket was going on under the guise of a massage parlour at Arpora village, a tourist hub," the officer said.
A 23-year-old Manipuri youth, who identified himself as Aiyan, was arrested along with a middle-aged local woman in connection with the flesh trade, police said.
Three girls, each from Karnataka, Manipur and Goa, were rescued and sent to a state government-run protection home near Goa.
A case under Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act (PITA) has been registered against the Manipuri youth and the local woman, whose identity was not disclosed, police said.
Crime branch is likely to conduct more raids on massage parlours linked to the woman, they added.
