Udupi, Jul 2: P L Dharma, HOD of journalism section, Mangalore University opined that media is working as the strong force of questioning democracy in modern India.

Dharma was speaking after inaugurating the Newspaper Day celebration organized jointly by Udupi district working journalists' organization and Press Club at the Jagannatha Auditorium on Monday, July 1.

Dharma further said, "There is a system in place in the country because of the fundamental questions posed by the journalists. Otherwise, there would have been chaos in the country.
