Mangaluru: Theft of gold, other valuables from Padavinangady - Complaint filed

Mangaluru, Jun 25: A complaint has been registered in Kankanady town branch here relating to the theft of gold and other things worth Rs 22.5 lac from a house in the city. The house which was burgled belongs to Dr P K Kiran Kumar, resident of Gurunagara, Padavinangady.

Dr Kiran Kumar had left for a tour of Shillong, Meghalaya, along with wife and children on June 19. On his return on June 23, he found that his house had been burgled.

The thieves are found to have broken open the lock of the front door and taken away gold ornaments worth Rs 20 lac kept in the locker and cupboard in the bedroom, apart from US dollars 2,000 in cash and silver ornaments worth one lac rupees.

The police, who have registered the case, have begun the probe.

    when people are planning a long absence from house ,better keep valueables in bank tresors safe.Or let someone live in house to take care.It is not possible later who is the one whether any cleaner or own relations ,neighbours?who knew their absence.
