International Yoga Day conducted at Mangaluru airport by Mata Amritanandamayi Math

Mangaluru, Jul 22: Mata Amritanadamayi Math and Amrita Vidyalayam, Boloor Mangaluru on Friday, June 21, conducted Yoga session at Mangaluru International Airport on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga.

The programme commenced at 7:00 am with an overwhelming response from the employees of CISF Security, Air India, and Customs Department etc as the participants.

Vice-principal Anupama Rao welcomed airport director Venkateshwar Rao, deputy commandant CISF security Amit Kumar, and assistant director Immigration PSV Prasad and all the participants to the programme.

She also said that yoga is increasingly being performed at various institutions, but should not to be limited only for International Yoga Day and to be performed on regular basis for the wellbeing.



Yoga instructor Nalini Prakash displayed the Yoga asanas. More than 65 participants enthusiastically performed various yoga postures.

The session successfully concluded at 8.00 am. Venkateswar Rao thanked Amrita Vidyalayam for organizing this event and will soon be associated with our organization in future for including yoga classes on regular basis.

Vice principal Anupama Rao concluded the programme by thanking the energetic audience for giving an opportunity of this yoga session on the International Day of Yoga.
