Bengaluru, Jun 17: JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda, clarified that the party's state president H Vishwanath, will continue in that post. He added that the resignation tendered by Vishwanath to the post will not be accepted.
He pointed out that there is no question of going in search of a suitable candidate in Vishwanath's place as Vishwanath will be continuing in the post. At the same time, as regards his defeat in the Lok Sabha election from Tumakuru constituency, he refused to put the entire blame on Congress leaders. "Many have worked for me. It would be wrong to place the entire blame on a single person," he said.
Deve Gowda justified induction of two independents into the state ministry, saying that Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy had taken this decision for saving the government. He said that the coalition government does not face any imminent danger now as several ministers are prepared to sacrifice their seats if that helps to stabilise the state government.
