Mangaluru: Compensation for victims of sea erosion within three days - Minister U T Khader

Mangaluru, Jun 15: The sea erosion is continuing on the outskirts of the city. District-in-charge minister U T Khader, who visited Ullal, Kaiko and Someshwar areas, conducted a meeting with the concerned officials with regards to the damage, compensation and relief work undertaken.

Speaking to the reporters, Khader said, "When it comes to sea erosion, no project or work can be termed as unscientific. There is an expert team of ADB for the inspection of the work. Before taking up the work at Ucchila, expert advice from Pune and Chennai ADB were sought. If the work completes, the issue of sea erosion will get resolved."

Khader had a discussion with the revenue, port authority and district administration with regards to the damage caused by the recent sea erosion. He said that within three days, victims of the natural calamity will be provided with compensation.
