Meanwhile, IMA Jewels proprietor Mohammed Mansur Khan has released another audio. He said in the audio that he is alive in Bengaluru. “Neither I nor my family have fled anywhere. A big conspiracy is being hatched to drive me away. A false propaganda that I am dying is being spread. The money taken legally will be returned to everybody. MLA Roshan Baig, Shakeel Ahmed and Rahil are hatching a conspiracy to drive me away from here. I have invested the money deposited in the company on jewellery, diamonds, hospital and real estate,” he has said in the audio.

Police continued to receive complaints against IMA Group. While more than 8,000 complaints have been already received, police are expecting 12,000 more. An audio clip received a day after Mohammed Mansur Khan disappeared had claimed that he was going to commit suicide. The complaints received so far claimed to be concerning Halal or Sharia compliant dealings.

As the crowd swelled, police at Commercial Street made arrangements to receive complaints at A J Convention Hall, Shivaji Circle here. Poor Muslim and petty businessmen were seen in long lines to submit complaints. Police provided a two-page form to the complainants stating that the police have already registered a case under IPC sections 406 and 420 against the IMA group in order to make the process easier. The complaint should include personal details of the complainant, the amount and the date of investment. Many had stood in the line since morning. Some of them, who were tired, left midway.

T Suneel Kumar, police commissioner said that they are trying their best to track down Mansur Khan.

A man in the new audio clip says that Khan is safe in Bowring Hospital and investors will get back their money.
