Bengaluru: Will Mallikarjun Kharge get to play stellar role in party soon?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 10: There has been a demand for elaborate rehaul of Congress party's organisational mechanism in view of its pathetic performance in the recent Lok Sabha election. There is talk of thorough revamp of the organizational posts by holding those in key positions responsible for the party's disastrous performance.

There has also been demand for the replacement of the chairman of the coalition government's coordination committee at the state level, considering the fact that national president of the party, Rahul Gandhi, has tendered his resignation, owning responsibility for the party's utter loss. There has been a thrust from various circle to make Mallikarjun Kharge chairman of the coordination committee in place of Siddaramaiah.

Veteran Congress leaders, Roshan Baig and Ramalinga Reddy, have openly taken on Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, Dinesh Gundu Rao, holding them responsible for the dismal performance of the party that won only one out of the 28 seats in Karnataka in the Lok Sabha election. Roshan Baig had also questioned the leadership skills of All India Congress general secretary, K C Venugopal, who is in-charge of party affairs in Karnataka.

It is said that in view of the ministry expansion exercise being undertaken on Wednesday in spite of opposition from senior Congress leaders, and also peeved by the neglect of senior leaders, veteran Congress leaders led by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee campaign committee president, H K Patil, have decided to meet on Monday. Former ministers, Roshan Baig, Ramalinga Reddy, Tanveer Sait and several other leaders are likely to meet informally and report to the party high command about their take on the political scenario in the state and the need to change the head of the government's coordination committee.

It is said that Roshan Baig has asked central leaders of the party, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel, to divest one of the two posts Siddaramaiah is currently holding in tune with the 'one man - one post' principle followed by the Congress. Siddaramaiah besides being the head of the Congress legislature party, also heads the coordination committee. Baig also told the leaders that because of stubborn stance taken by Siddaramaiah on various issues, the leaders of the coalition parties do not have harmonious relationship which is adversely influencing the administration. There is apprehension that this may adversely affect the party's future prospects. It is also said that Siddaramaiah continues to nurse animosity towards Kumaraswamy and Deve Gowda based on his past association with them, and this has angered both these leaders.

Senior leaders feel that if Mallikarjun Kharge is made in-charge of the coordination committee, the revolt will cease to exist, and the coalition government will move ahead smoothly.

In the meanwhile, there is a notion that if Rajiv Gandhi does not relent from his stand of not withdrawing his resignation, Mallikarjun Kharge may be chosen as the next national president of the party. The decision Rahul Gandhi may take on continuing as All India Congress Committee president will have a bearing on the suggestion to replace coordination committee chairman, party sources said.

Sorry to say Kharge is near expiry in politics and he has already groomed his son.

If Congress refrain from bringing smart young leaders and still stick on to its line of near expiry leaders it will not revive itself. It has still Deshapande, Moily, Oscar, HK Patil, Parameshwara, etc...

They should instead use in state DKS, Krishnabyre Gowda, Khader.

It will be nice to understand a few issues with regard to the Lok Sabha Elections where the Central Election Commission played the dominant role and the BJP won a landslide. Within a week of the Lok Sabha elections the Karnataka urban body and local body elections were held by the state election commission and state EVM's and ballot papers were used and the Congress won almost a landslide if the votes polled by the JDS their coalition partner are also considered.

The Truth will and has to come out that both the 2014 and 2019 elections were hijacked by hacking the EVM's. It is quite natural that the EVM sponsored results have demoralised many opposition parties. All the more reasons that they should now come out openly in favour of ballot papers and refuse to fight future elections with EVM's

Say No to EVM's and Say Yes to Ballot Papers and India will have a stable Govt and a STRONG OPPOSITION which is very much required for the well being and stability of our country.

It is a too late call for Congress in Karnataka. Mr.Mallikarjun Kharge would have not lost BJP's Umesh Jadhav who was introduced to the Congress by himself and groomed in the party who dissatisfied due to state portfolio allocation and crossed to BJP just before the Lok Sabha elections.

The Congress party is no match to BJP-RSS combined. It had very little groundwork comparing to the BJP.

In the next six months, four assembly elections are due to be held. But Congress seems to be ceded defeat even before elections are fought. In Maharashtra alone, more than 10 MLA's are ready to crossover to BJP after Telangana.
But Senior leaders of the party is still scrambling were to start from. Apart from this, there are more than 370 seats Lok Sabha election results are a mismatch. Instead of legally challenging the Election Commission of India in Supre Court with urgent petition Congress now faces an existantial crisis.
It seems 2019 is the last Lok Sabha election in India. From here onwards with all central institution under BJP's full control PM Modi will be India' new President Putin, Turkish Erdogan or Sudan's Bashir until he is forcefully ousted.

Apparently Cong is very paranoid of youngsters joining their party. All for the simple reason that , these new youngsters with new ideas and knowledge will overshadow the president , the Mr, Bean of India, the one and only Raul Vinci Khan. So they just stick to old uncles and Ramu Kaakas who have one foot in the grave. As they have no aspirations in life , they will just nod their head to the 'Gandhis'.
Best example is Pilot and Scindia have been sidelined after garnering votes and delivering victories.
