Bengaluru, Jun 7: “The coalition with JD(S) is the reason why Congress lost elections in the state. People have not accepted Congress-JD(S) coalition,” said Member of Parliament from Mandya, Sumalatha Ambareesh.
Speaking in an interview Sumalatha said that she tried to make Congress leaders aware about this. “But they did not think over it and listened only to what JD(S) was saying. Coalition with JD(S) in the state made Congress lose,” she added.
“Congress had excellent candidates who could win in several constituencies and Congress had an upper hand in those constituencies. But they made easy way for BJP to win,” she informed.
“Congress would have won at least ten seats if it had contested independently without JD(S). Congress had given up many constituencies in which they could win,” she said.
