Tragic. Not only they have a sign but also a solid barrier at 2.2 meters. I wonder the purpose...if you don't read try this maybe. It is like posting a 'no entry' sign and digging a 6ft hole just in case. Engineers!

The bus entered a lane that was not permitted to high vehicles and hit a height barrier (warning high vehicles are not permitted on that stretch). The barrier got cut due to the force of crash and fell on the left side of the bus.

Very tragic. RIP the departed, May their families have solace to come to terms with the reality.

What the bus hit was a solid height barrier which was clearly barring the way for vehicles higher than 2.2 metres. Which means only cars and SUVs heading to a parking area were allowed on this road. The barrier did not break and fall on the bus, it just sliced through everything which was higher than 2.2 mtrs.

According to some local media, the driver was surprised to see a height restriction sign (The small gray signboard in the first photo, I believe) and he tried to swerve the bus to avoid hitting it, but it was too late. The sign then sliced through the bus killing passengers seated in the front left row.

    Clifford,

They belong to the same country, where writing BEEF is a problem but BEEP for the same item is alright. Probably, the Emojis should have been titled in Kannada to get at-least 50% improvement.

When ppl don't understand emoji ..its mostly accidental clicks .. I remember clicking the thumbs up for a condolence message announcing the death of a very close friend of mine ..on facebook.
There is no point in reading too much into such things and coming up with another set of stupid relationship with other irrelevant things.
