Panaji, Apr 28: In the explosive development which could have far leading ramification, the minor German rape victim has accused the police of breaking her arm for not listening what the police wanted her to do.
The 14 year old girl victim, whose mother had accused Goa education Minister Atanasio Monserratte’s son, Rohit, of sexual abuse on minor, in an email interview to PTI news agency has also said that she was locked in the house by police for weeks together.
The German mother on October 2, last year, had filed complaint against Rohit with Calangute police station. Thereafter, the first information report was registered ten days later and on November 4, Rohit surrendered before the police only to be released on the bail by the Goa children’s court subsequently.
Replying to the questions on the email, the 14 year old girl narrated how the police gave her horrifying time at her house.
“And well at one time when I did not want to go with the police, they pulled me along so hard that one officer broke my elbow, and I had a lot of bruises on my arms from the police,” the victim said.
She claimed that the police were merciless with her because `she did not want to do what they wanted her to do.’
The girl who was medically tested positive for sexual abuse said that police had not let her move out of the house for weeks together. “The police did not allow me to go out of the house and was locked inside for weeks,” she mentioned.
The victim, who left for Germany after the case attained much media attention and Rohit was out on bail, said that she was forced to travel to Germany by her mother. She considers Goa as her home as she was born and brought up here and has many friends.
