Mangaluru: Police arrest notorious rowdy Ummer Farooq after firing

Mangaluru, May 29: Police personnel fired at a notorious rowdy when he attacked the police team which had gone to arrest him. The incident took place during the early hours of Wednesday, May 29.

Ummer Farooq Is the person who was fired at. He was arrested by the police subsequently.

As per police sources, Ummer is wanted in many cases. He is also wanted in case of conspiring to kill Sameer, an accused in Ilyas murder case.

Ummer Farooq is brother in law of Ilyas of Target Group. With the help of Surma Imran and others he was conspiring to kill Sameer.

Ummer Farooq has been admitted to a hospital due to the injuries sustained in the incident.

Police constable Sandeep was also injured in the incident.

    Time to set up Employment BUREAU provide jobs to all.
    and induct all these wavery.. un employed youth into hard core army for 3 years.compulsorily...

    Govt should focus on providing employment and use their Energy in nation building and not creating

    This trend is increasing and really dangerous!! Of late the goondas and hooligans are trying to attack the police. We saw this in the victory celebration of BJP near Congress office recently and now this incident.
    It seems time in not far before the SP announces shooting orders if anyone tries to manhandle the police personnel.
    God Save this Sanatana country.
