Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, May 28: Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament, Nalin Kumar Kateel, has written to union minister for external affairs, Sushma Swaraj, seeking her intervention in the matter of helping out the young men from coastal Karnataka who are stuck in a bad situation in Kuwait.

In his letter, Kateel has urged the minister to speak to the officials of Indian embassy at Kuwait and ensure that the 35 persons who are facing a critical situation at Kuwait get their passports back, and help is extended to them to return to their homes at the earliest.

Inesco General Trading and Contracting Company, on whose assurance these men had come here with the hope of better prospects, reportedly has told them that their visas would be cancelled and permission would be given to return to India within five to six days if they procure GP letter from the Indian embassy at Kuwait. The company which had promised jobs to these people, has softened its stand on the basis of efforts put in Kannadigas from Mangaluru living in Kuwait, it is gathered.

The Kuwait unit of the Institute of Engineers has come forward to hold dialogue with the officials of Indian embassy towards this end, the Kannadigas from coast living in Kuwait stated.

The Congress is sleeping again OR fighting for survival. Whats wrong in Nalin approaching MEA.?
In fact, It was a good chance for Mithun to do it and show how active and interested he is. But Mithun is after some 'pettists' from BD. This is the issue with Cong, they sleep till the last minute and then expect miracles. Its not going to work that way. Sorry to be blunt, please learn from Smriti Irani, despite being a defeated candidate in 2014, she worked hard won the hearts of people and defeated the 'Gandhi' .
