Dubai, May 27: Konkan Yuva (Youth group of Mangalurean community) will conduct a session for job seekers and those looking at career progression at Mini Hall, St. Mary’s Church, Oud Metha, Dubai, on June 1.
In this session one will learn:
*How to plan your job search strategy?
*How to get yourself noticed by prospective employers in the UAE?
*How to create the first impression?
*How to shine in an interview ?
There will be two expert speakers in the session.
The speaker of the first session is Avil Pinto, Frieslan Campina (Rainbow Milk) and a part of ‘Dubai Jobs Hunt’ (Voluntary group).
Avil has over 14 years of diverse experience in HR, Supply Chain, Sales and Operations across Banking, Hospitality & FMCG. He has been working as regional manager, Middle East Operations for a Dutch Company for the past 8 years.
Avil is a motivational speaker/trainer/expert at FB live videos and has conducted 150 videos with over 400,000 views. He is the vice president of Education at Arabian Dreams Toastmasters Club.
He has a MBA in general management from ICFAI, Dehradun and a Human Resource Management for Business from NCC, UK.
The second speaker is Ruth Mirium Fernandes, head of Talent Management.
Ruth is an Industry Leading, Executive Search and Contingency Based Recruitment Specialist, whose 23 years of consulting experience in the Indian and Middle East market has culminated in her present role where she heads Talent Management, the fourth pillar of Daksada.
As a veteran Executive Consultant, Ruth’s focus is on the selection of senior executive and managerial talent and has successfully completed hundreds of retained and contingency based assignments in her career. In addition, Ruth has in the past, managed/ co- managed businesses practices, ensuring their success through innovation and on–time service delivery.
A honours student both at the graduation and post-graduation level, she has specialized in psychology and is a trained guidance counsellor. At Daksada, Ruth has initiated processes that are both client and candidate centric. The experiences of the last 28 years, providing consulting services to major multinational, regional and local organizations has provided Ruth with a depth of experience needed to truly understand her clients. Her achievements in providing strategic talent management solutions to her clients across a broad spectrum of industries have earned her recognition. Ruth has found her calling in executive search and recruitment and enjoys helping others find theirs.
