Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, May 27: On the basis of intelligence information that ISIS terrorists have left Sri Lanka for Lakshadweep islands, high alert has been sounded in Karnataka coast. Already Kerala coast has been warned of this threat perception.

The state police have been keeping a close vigil on the lines of Kerala as there is possibility of the terrorists trying to sneak into Karnataka while on their way to Lakshadweep.

Since the ISIS attacks happened in Sri Lanka, police personnel along with the Coast Guard and Indian Navy have been on high alert all along west coast of India. Karnataka Coastal Security Police Force personnel have asked the fishermen to convey information to them in case of sighting of suspicious boats in the sea.

Navy in readiness: Cdr Sridhar Warrier said at Kasargod that the navy is fully prepared to face any kind of aggression and that the navy has been keeping close watch in the coast. Intelligence reports have mentioned that the terrorists are moving in a white coloured boat and coastal security police stations, coast guard and navy have also increased their vigilance and patrols. The fishermen committees have been requested to keep an eye on unnatural happenings at sea.

The intelligence department's feedback is that the terrorists plan to conduct their operation through Kerala coast. Plan of action is ready at the joint operation centre of southern Navy at Kochi to browbeat any kind of attacks. The Coast Guard and navy have been checking boats which look suspicious.

Gangolli

On the basis of information about 15 suspected ISIS terrorists coming towards Kerala coast from Sri Lanka, high level vigilance has been kept at Gangolli port too. Joint teams of navy and coastal security police have been keeping watch. Their boats have been moving around for an average of five hours every day in the sea. Armed police have been stationed at all points where the boats arrive after undertaking fishing. Coastal Security Police force personnel said that all security measures have been undertaken and there is no need for panic among the people.

Let us never forget, 26/11 attack on Mumbai... where Lakshar-e-Taiba, terrorists came from the Arabian sea n created mayhem n bloodshed, in the metropolis.... Today the perception is critical, especially after Sri Lanka's, hotel n churches, bombings... ISIS r active in JK n South India... radicalized youth's, have fled to Syria, to wage war, for the caliphate... God forbid, a strike here would be disastrous !!

By blasting the boat...do you want to destroy evidences...!! Good suggestion beyond imagination. Yane tujhe saboot mitna hai. Our navy patrolling team intercept the boat and arrest them easily...who are all involved in the act. As there is no war...people from three wings retiring without doing any major work or medal to there credit. When they are in service they enjoyed all facilities and now after retirement enjoying pension. We told them if you find any suscipious boat just go intercept and arrest the people in it.
