Shivamogga, May 26: A soldier, who got infuriated as the girl he intended to marry denied his proposal and shot at her father. This incident is reported from Bidaragadde village of Honnali taluk in the district.
Devaraj, who is serving in the defence forces, had come on vacation to his native place. The father of the girl, who is injured in the incident is being treated in the hospital and is said to be out of danger.
Police have arrested the accused and confiscated three country pistols and three rounds of bullets from him. A case is registered in this regard and further investigation is on.
