Mangaluru, May 24: Chairperson of health care sector skill council Dr Alexander Thomas inaugurated the two-day national conference on simulation in nursing 'Nursimcon India - 2019’, at Father Muller Charitable Institutions in the city on Friday May 24. This event is organised by Father Muller College of Nursing and Father Muller Simulation and Skill Centre.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Alexander Thomas said," I feel very privileged to take part in the event which empowers the nurses. Simulation lab has gained high reputation across the nation. Empowerment of nurses is the key and a crucial part in any scenario at the hospital and nurses can be called as highly impact leaders,”
During the two day event, various sessions will be held on many topics like Introduction to simulation-based education by Dr Lulu Sherif, simulate to learn, unlearn and relearn by Dr Meghana Mukund and enhancing competencies through skill-based learning by Dr Gayathri Bhat, role of training to enhance inter-professional collaborative practice by Dr Ciraj Ali, Developing skills of crisis resource management by Dr Ramkumar V and health care communication by Dr Badari Datta.
Organizing chairperson Sr Jacintha D’Souza welcomed the gathering.
Director of Father Muller Charitable Institution Fr Richard Coelho, chairperson scientific committee Dr Lulu Sherif, organizing secretary Dr Ritesh D’Cunha and Dean of Father Muller medical college Dr Jayaprakash Alva were present.
