Bengaluru, May 23: JD(S) has decided to adjust its future strategies on the basis of Lok Sabha election result. It has also made up its mind to move ahead carefully after the result is announced, as there is a general notion that the coalition government will face peril if the Congress-JD(S) alliance fails to fare well in the election.
On the face of it, rather than the number of candidates of these two parties getting elected, the result in Tumakuru, Mandya, Hassan and Mysuru constituencies have the potential of guiding the future of the coalition government.
In these four constituencies, the leaders and activists of the two parties, who were traditional rivals till the two parties entered into an understanding, had failed to get along with each other, it is felt. Therefore, future plans will have to be readjusted and re-drawn on the basis of the results in these constituencies. If there are any upheavals, the Congress high command may have to intervene, as per the present perception of JD(S) sources.
There are rumours of BJP having been in talks with the JD(S) but this information is unconfirmed and without clear indication. Therefore, Deve Gowda has gagged the leaders from speaking about the result. In all likelihood, JD(S) parliamentary party might meet on May 24 after the result to discuss the issues.
