Mangaluru, May 13: On the occasion of Mother’s Day, a beautiful and elegant pageant ‘Bon Super Mommy 2019’ was held at City Center Mall in city, on Sunday, May 13.

This is the third year since this idea of Bon Super Mommy title was conceived and put into action. This event brought together members of the biggest group of Mothers of Mangalurean origin on Facebook to celebrate the true essence of being a mother and compete with a true spirit to win the title of Super Mommy 2019. ‘Moms of Mangalore’ has more than 38,000 members and has previously won the Best Mommy Group on Facebook in the year 2017.

The event started with an online participation contest where the mothers had to upload a picture of their beautiful bond with their child. Based on highest number of likes and judges’ decision, there were 20 finalists who competed on at the main gala event at City Center. The event started with a ramp walk with the theme of colour coordinated outfits, where each participant introduced themselves and speak a few words on their idea of being a mother. There was an elimination round where 10 participants were moved into the next round, which is the question and answer round. The contestants who gave best answers were moved into the next and final round. The final round was a special visual round. There were 3 winners - 1st title winner and 2 runner-ups.

All participants received participation certificates and medals.

Winners received cash and gift vouchers.
