Udupi, May 11: In this district, a total of 250 H1N1 cases were registered since January. Most of these cases are from Udupi taluk, followed by Kundapur and Karkala taluks. Health department sources stated that since January, five deaths have occurred due to this disease in the district.
Dakshina Kannada district health officer, Dr Ramakrishna Rao, said that there are no swine flu cases in Dakshina Kannada district. He said that a patient suffering from H1N1, who was being treated in a hospital in Mangaluru was discharged recently, having been cured of the disease. He said that currently the district does not have any patient suffering from this disease.
